ArtWear Elements® is happy to offer you hand finished oxidized, and raw pure copper and pure brass dead soft wire!
Our ox wire has been published in various magazines, and enjoyed by many artisans in their creative works.
Special requests are always welcome!
Your wire does not contain nickel or lead and is made in the USA.
This pure solid copper and brass is not coated or plated! You can hammer, solder, work harden and polish it with no worries!
Details
Each order is hand cut to your specifications, cleaned, and then oxidized by hand, unless you choose the raw wire option.
You have three levels of oxidation to choose from; medium, dark, and extra dark.
1st photo shows dark brass.
Remaining photos show medium and dark copper. Please note that medium brass will not have a reddish hue to it; it will be cooler.
The MEDIUM ox will have varying shades of brown with possible gold tones.
The DARK ox will have varying shades of dark brown, grey and almost black.
The EXTRA DARK ox will be as dark as you can get which usually is black hued. (Please allow a slightly longer processing time for this one as there's more involved).

***All OX wire is a matte finish so that you can control the dark or lightness until it is sealed.
It is the nature of oxidized wire to continue to oxidize over time once exposed to air unless it is sealed well as it is metal. Therefore, you may choose to use a sealant; such as my professional jewelers polish; Just copy and paste this link below into your browser.

As you handle and work with the oxidized wire it is normal to lose some of its dark tones. You can also rinse and dry it first before working with it, or use a fine steel wool to give it highlights. If you desire to keep it as dark as possible while working with it leave it as you first received it from me as you work with it; then adjust the darkness within the final finish when you are done making your creation, or leave as is and polish which will lighten it slightly.
